What is GA?

By Jackie Alex Pruner and Heather Millar

What is GA? Every year in late June Unitarian Universalists from around the globe gather to learn, network, take action, adjust their rules, worship and have fun. This gathering is called the General Assembly (GA) of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA). UUCA has delegates that attend GA and vote during business sessions to conduct the business of the UUA. Also many others from UUCA attend to participate in workshops, celebrations and worship services.

Last year’s GA was the first held virtually and this year GA will once again be online. This reduces the cost and the amount of time necessary to attend GA thus enabling more of us to attend. The cost is $200 and scholarships are available. To learn more about GA, attend the After Hour session this Sunday, May 23, and if you know you want to attend as a delegate, contact a Board member or minister.
