Covenanted Groups

Covenanted Groups, previously known as Small Group Ministry, is a lay-lead ministry of presence, participation, and service. Groups create what our covenanted group materials call “intimacy” and “ultimacy” within our group members and the wider congregation. Each group is led by a trained facilitator who does not instruct the group but is a leading participant. During meetings, there is a chalice lighting, readings, discussion, sharing, and different possibilities for spiritual engagement. Most meetings follow the UU small group curriculum entitled Soul Matters. Other materials may be provided by UUCA. Membership is based on location or Affinity (shared identity). When a group grows too big, a new group starts with the same focus or in the same neighborhood. LBGTQ+ (Last Monday of the month from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm in the Library)

Monday Night Women (4th Monday from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm in the Faith Formation Sanctuary)

UUCA BIPOC (3rd Wednesday from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm offsite)

*Groups may be meeting over zoom at this time, so if you do not see your neighborhood, you can still join a new group. We need 5 people in each location to begin meeting regularly.
