Anyone who pays for electricity through a Maryland utility (BGE, PEPCO, etc.) can sign up for this state-sponsored program. You can own or rent your home.
If you sign up through UUCA’s partnership with Neighborhood Sun Solar Benefit Co:
- You get a modest net discount on your monthly utility bill
- You force the utility company to buy its electricity from the local solar farm you subscribe to — not from a dirty coal or natural gas plant
- You generate a THANK-YOU donation of $100 from Neighborhood Sun to UUCA.
