Unitarian Universalists are discussing the central values that guide and shape us. The proposed revised language of Article II (of the UUA Bylaws), which will be voted on at the 2024 General Assembly, claims that “Love is the power that holds us together and is at the center of our shared values. We are accountable to one another for doing the work of living our shared values through the spiritual discipline of Love.” (read more about the proposed revision of Article II. Never in the history of our religious tradition have we been so clear about the shaping importance of love. But, what might it mean to be this clear? Are you clear about what “love” means for UUs?
