Congregational Meeting April 3, 2022 Notice!

Awakening to Possibility!

Dear UUCA Members:

On behalf of the Board of Trustees of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Annapolis, I encourage you to attend our Congregational Meeting on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at 11:00 AM either in person in the sanctuary or via our Worship Zoom link.

These continue to be exciting times at UUCA. The primary purposes of this meeting is to:

  • Elect a new slate of congregational leaders (presented below)
  • Hear about an upcoming proposed bylaw change related to our fiscal year
  • Present updates from: Our minister, the Sabbatical Planning team, our 8th Principle Implementation Group, our Building Expansion Exploratory Committee, our Faith Formation Program, and from our COVID-19 “Reopening Team.”

We will also celebrate our UUCA members by recognizing outstanding volunteers. For this meeting, we will follow Robert’s Rules of Order. Votes by members in the sanctuary will be counted in a hand vote, and votes online will be tabulated through an online poll. On behalf of the Board, I want to emphasize the importance of attending this Congregational Meeting, not only to provide the quorum necessary to conduct business but also to work together in preparation for the future. As a reminder, in order to vote, you must have a signed pledge on record with the church.

As we gather together on April 3, we should be mindful of our covenantal commitment to always engage one another in a manner that upholds UUCA as a safe, open, and inspirational space. See you Sunday, April 3, at 11:00 am.

Thank you,

Jane Carrigan

President, UUCA Board of Trustees
