Planning group that supports education and promotes anti-racism within the UUCA community.

*Anti-racism training required prior to acceptance on facilitation team.

Camp Beagle Steering Team

UUCA’s annual summer camp planning team. Available volunteer leadership opportunites such as serving as a Harbor Leader, or Captain.

Must be part of the church community for at least 6 months, fill out the application form, and be background checked.

Children’s Community Garden Cultivators

We are responsible for developing and maintaining a garden space in the Outdoor Play Area. We provide opportunities for children to encounter plants that attract beneficial insects, as well as vegetables and herbs to tend. Our work connects children with nature and the earth, with the larger goal of creating environmental stewards.

Drag Bingo Planning Team

Join the planning team to organize an unforgettable evening filled with laughter, fabulous entertainment, and community connection. Whether your talents shine in decorating, hospitality, promotion, logistics, or fundraising, there’s a place for you behind the scenes.

Faith Formation Facilitators

Serving in Lifespan Faith Formation (LFF). All facilitators serving in child and youth Faith Formation. Must be part of the church community for at least 6 months, fill out the application form, and be background checked.

Flaming Chalice Council

Provides support and guidance to the Lifespan Faith Formation Ministry of UUCA. Members serve a two-year term. The council convenes quarterly to discuss mission, purpose, and program scope. Each liaison checks in with their group monthly via email to bring back updates to the group and support.

FUNdraising Committee

We support fundraising events for the church’s operating budget. Our goals are threefold: Raise funds for the church to help the Church’s budget. Build a template to develop an ongoing fundraising program for UUCA. Incorporate a social event into our fundraising efforts to foster fellowship. Fall Fest is our major fundraising event which is the church auction held each Fall.

Geek Squad

Tech-savvy volunteers are needed to assist UUCA members in accessing and engaging with the Realm Connect App on their personal digital devices.

Keeping Our Space Beautiful

We work to clean up when needed and take on aesthetic tasks and needs when asked.

Light House Shelter Support

This is an outreach program of UUCA. The program provides meal and ride support to the Light House Shelter in Annapolis. The Light House Shelter supports individuals who are unhoused.

Loving & Learning Our Land (LOL’fers)

We care for UUCA’s small corner of Earth by removing invasive weeds, plant native species, and maintain the trails. We are also developing earthscaping guidelines. We beautify the grounds with native plants and address errant drainage conditions.

Memorial Garden Care Team

Maintain the garden using native plants and ensuring that the engravings are up to date. Remove any efflorescence on the walls with chemicals.

Seder Dinner Planning Team

Help create a meaningful and welcoming Seder Dinner at UUCA! Join the planning team to assist with food, decorations, hospitality, program preparation, setup, and cleanup. Whether you bring experience with Seder traditions or simply a willingness to help, your time and talents are warmly welcomed.

Tuesday Membership Team 

This group supports the efforts of the membership team. They help review and process the Connection Cards, write letters to visitors, add visitors to the mailing list, and help maintain the membership spreadsheets.

Winter Relief Planning Team

In partnership with over 50 communities of faith, UUCA provides shelter, food and social support to individuals experiencing homelessness. We typically host betweent 25-50 people during Winter Relief.

Wonder Readers

Wonder Readers are caretakers of the UUCA Children’s Library. We are currently organizing and re-categorizing the books in the Children’s Library to reflect the updated UU Values. Future work will include expanding and maintaining the Children’s Library.
